OpenBMC, A Reference Firmware Stack

Abstract

OpenPOWER talks a lot about the system being completely open. There is however always that one caveat where the BMC firmware is not open. Well that all changes with OpenBMC. The reference system for P9 will be based on this open source code so I want to get this in front of people.

Audience: Server Design architects, System Management architects, Manufactures, Cloud providers.

The demo will show off the technology and simplicity of the firmware stack. People should leave the booth confident on how to integrate their existing products with the stack.
